Title
We Want Our Rights
Subject
The Women's Rights Movement and one of it's most influential leaders Susan B. Anthony.
Description
This was a drawing on the front cover of Life magazine. 1912. World War I would start for the rest of the world in three years, and the Women's Rights Movement in American was beginning again after Susan B. Anthony died less than ten years before, this image of Anthony could have been used to incite another movement using her image to make young Women fight for the Movement in her honor. The style of the image is similar to that of gods and demigods on Greek vases. This could have been to compare Susan B. Anthony to a demigod fighting a mythical monster, and to bring the next generation into the fight for women's rights.
